Will it show every stain or substance?

No. Fluorescence depends on the material, surface and surrounding light. A visible glow does not identify a substance or prove that a surface is clean.

Is it a disinfecting lamp?

It is sold as a UV inspection flashlight, not a sterilization device.

How should I use UV light?

Do not look directly into the LEDs or point the light at eyes, skin or animals. Keep it away from children and follow the supplied instructions.
