Privacy Policy

Your gifts can be personal. Here is how we handle the information that helps us deliver them.
1. Who we are
DUDU Gifts at dudugifts.com is operated by DUDU Home LLC ("DUDU Gifts," "we," "us," or "our"). We are responsible for the personal information we collect to operate our store. This notice explains how information is handled when you browse, order a gift, personalize a product, subscribe to our emails, or contact us.
Business mailing details are listed in the privacy contact section below. For privacy questions, use our contact form and select "Privacy & personal data," or email info@dudugifts.com. This mailing address is not a returns address.
2. Information we collect
- Contact and delivery information: your name, email address, telephone number if provided, billing address, and delivery address. If you send a gift directly to someone else, this can include the recipient's name, address, and delivery contact details.
- Order and payment information: products, variants, prices, discounts, payment status, transaction references, shipping updates, and return or refund history. Payment providers process your payment credentials; our store receives the transaction information needed to manage your order, such as payment status and limited payment-method details.
- Personalization: names, messages, engraving text, photographs, artwork, and other material you provide for a custom product, where that option is offered.
- Account and preferences: account contact details, saved preferences, shopping activity, and marketing choices.
- Support messages: the subject you select, any custom subject, order number, message, and photographs or videos you later send to help us investigate a product issue.
- Device and browsing information: IP address, browser and device details, approximate location inferred from IP, referring pages, cookie identifiers, and interactions with our store and emails.
Please provide only information needed for your order or request. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details through our contact form or email.
3. How we collect and use information
We receive information directly from you, automatically through our store and its cookies or similar technologies, and from service providers such as payment, fraud-prevention, and fulfillment services.
We use it to process payments; create, personalize, pack, and deliver orders; send order updates; manage customer accounts; answer questions; investigate delivery problems; arrange returns and remedies; prevent fraud; maintain and improve the store; and meet accounting, tax, legal, and recordkeeping obligations. Shopping and usage information may also help us recommend gifts or measure the effectiveness of our store and promotions, subject to your choices and applicable law.
If you provide someone else's information for a gift or personalization, make sure you have authority to provide it and tell them about this notice when appropriate.
4. Who receives information
We disclose information when it is needed to run our business and provide your order or requested service:
- Shopify: our commerce platform, including hosting, checkout, accounts, store operations, and related services.
- Production and fulfillment partners: the production facilities, fulfillment service providers and shipping carriers needed for your selected order. An order may require recipient and delivery details, the items ordered, and personalization files or text. We provide information relevant to the task.
- Payment, security, and support providers: to authorize payments, help prevent fraud, deliver communications, and handle support requests.
- Analytics and advertising partners: where those tools are enabled and as permitted by your consent, privacy choices, and applicable law.
- Professional advisers, authorities, or a business successor: where reasonably needed for legal obligations, advice, protection of rights, or a sale or reorganization of our business, subject to applicable safeguards.
Service providers may use subcontractors and operate in more than one country. Some providers also process certain information for their own purposes under their privacy notices. The categories of information shared and their purposes are described in this notice. Requests about information connected to your purchase can be made through the privacy-rights route below.
5. Our relationship with Shopify
Shopify processes information to provide the platform and services that power our store. Where Shopify's enhanced services or network features are enabled, Shopify may also use information from your interactions with this store together with information from other merchants to improve services, personalization, security, and advertising. For those purposes, Shopify may be responsible for processing information under its own privacy notice.
See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal for Shopify's practices and available rights. Our own use of your information remains covered by this notice.
6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Cookies and similar tools help keep the cart and checkout working, remember preferences, protect the store, understand visits, and, where enabled, support advertising. Essential tools support the services you request. Non-essential analytics or advertising tools are subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
Advertising-related disclosures can be considered a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under some privacy laws even when information is not exchanged for money. You can use Your privacy choices to access the store's available opt-out controls, or contact us to exercise an applicable right. Cookie controls may also be presented through the store's privacy banner. Where required by applicable law, we recognize a valid Global Privacy Control opt-out signal for the relevant browser or device. Other browser "Do Not Track" signals do not have a uniform response standard.
Your browser can block or delete cookies; doing so may affect cart, checkout, or preference functions. Choices can be specific to a device or browser, so you may need to repeat them on other devices or after clearing cookies.
7. Email and marketing choices
If you subscribe to marketing emails, we use your email address and preferences to send gift ideas, new arrivals, and offers. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. We may still send necessary messages about an order, account, security, or a request you made.
Submitting a support request or providing a delivery telephone number does not by itself subscribe you to marketing. Any optional partner-marketing program that requires separate notice or permission must be presented separately from completing a purchase.
8. Legal bases where applicable
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing a contract or taking steps you request before purchase; complying with legal obligations; legitimate interests such as store security, fraud prevention, and customer support where those interests are not overridden by your rights; or consent when required, including for certain marketing and non-essential tracking. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
9. Retention and security
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. This depends on the order or account relationship, support and warranty needs, accounting and tax requirements, disputes, fraud prevention, and other legal obligations. Personalization and support files may need to be retained while an order or claim is being completed. Where information is no longer needed, it is deleted or de-identified as appropriate.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No website, transmission, or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Contact us if you believe information connected to your order or account has been compromised.
10. International processing
We are a U.S. business. Shopify, production partners, suppliers, and other providers may store or process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws from your country.
Where required by applicable law, international transfers must use recognized safeguards or another lawful transfer basis, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections, including relevant EU Standard Contractual Clauses and UK transfer arrangements. You can contact us for information about safeguards applicable to your data.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; receive portable data; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Rights can be subject to legal conditions and exceptions, including records we must keep.
Use our contact form, choose "Privacy & personal data," or email info@dudugifts.com. For advertising-related choices, you can also visit Your privacy choices. We may request information reasonably needed to verify your identity or an agent's authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a right.
If you disagree with our response, contact us to request a review or appeal where available. You may also have a right to complain to your local data-protection authority or other competent regulator.
These choices serve different purposes: marketing opt-in is an optional subscription; email unsubscribe stops promotional emails; cookie consent manages optional tracking where the consent tool is shown; and “Your privacy choices” provides the applicable sale, sharing or targeted-advertising opt-out. None is a required marketing subscription for placing an order.
12. Children and gift recipients
Our store is intended for adult shoppers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Adults may provide a child's name or photograph for an available personalized gift only when they have the necessary authority or permission. If you believe a child has provided information improperly, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
13. Links and changes to this notice
Other websites, social platforms, and independent services have their own privacy practices. A link from our store does not mean that we control those practices.
We may update this notice as our practices or legal requirements change. We will update the date and provide any additional notice required by law. This Privacy Policy describes our practices; it does not replace consent where consent is legally required.
